A Pause for Beauty:

One artist’s journal.

Balance, Harmony Within Unpredictability

Interesting things
Happen out at the horizon
Where the unexpected lives.

Art too happens out at the horizon.
That search for balance and harmony
Out on the horizon.

It’s easy to find balance and harmony
At the center of human life
Where everything is safe and secure.

Epitaph:
“Here lies a man who made his car payments on time.”
That man found balance and harmony.
But pissed away his life.

The challenge is to find it
Where adventure happens.
To find balance and harmony
Within the adventure
Of a big, full life.
Always reaching. Always searching.

The art I seek to create
The life I seek to live
Balance and harmony within unpredictability.
Within the grand adventure.

Its elusiveness is what makes it so engaging.
So worthwhile.
