Zen Mountain Arts Originals and Archival Prints
Art inspired by ancient Zen and Taoist poetry.
The paintings below appear in approximate chronological order. The most recent painting used in a Zen Mountain Journal post (on Substack) appears first; scroll down for earlier paintings.
Each painting below is available as a print. Each edition limited to five. The cost of each $300. You can specify the size you’d like up to 60 inches in its largest dimension. You can also choose the substrate you’d like — archival matte art paper or stretched canvas, ready to hang.

These paintings grow out of a long engagement with wilderness solitude, Zen brush traditions, and Taoist ideas of return — the sense that all things move in cycles, and that what seems to vanish is only resting. Each work is an attempt to hold still long enough to see.
