Simplicity Is Profound
The more experience a person has, the more simplicity is profound.

I have insomnia. Most nights I wake up after a few hours sleep, pour myself a glass of wine, and think about life. I think about what I’m learning, what I should be learning but am resisting. I think about who I am and who I want to be. In other words, while many suffer from insomnia, I actually enjoy it. After an hour or two, I generally fall into a deep, wonderful sleep.
Anyway, over the last couple of nights I’ve been thinking about this first week of the e-journal. The direction it is going. What’s working and what’s not. What I’m learning. What’s interesting and what’s not.
For reasons explored in my journal notes here, what excited me most over the last week was the excerpt from my interview of author Thomas Berry. It was in Courtship Prior To Consummation. Berry proposes that the universe is a creative entity, that creativity is a positive energy force, including even creative destruction. Further, human consciousness is created by the universe so that it can reflect back on itself.
