A Pause for Beauty:

An artist’s journal.

To Dance, In Balance, Between The Worlds

To fly we must dance

The brightest sunlight.
- Years ago Louise Rader sent in this haiku, with a note saying it was inspired by the
Heron Dance photograph.

.  The goal is to evolve to that place where the energy that had been projected outward to correct the world is turned around to correct oneself -- to get on our own track and to dance, in balance, between the worlds.
- Diane Osbon,
Reflections on the Art of Living: A Joseph Campbell Companion

The world is no more than the Beloved's single face;
In the desire of the One to know its own beauty, we exist.
                        - Ghalib (1797-1869) Indian poet of Turkish ancestry

When I examine my life seeking confirmation of my belief that all things work together for the good, I find it. This has helped me become patient. The more patient I become, the more peaceful I seem to be. Patience seems to be a component of inner peace, or at least a big help toward achieving it.
