I’m working on an art journal of inspirational quotes that I can use to keep me on the right track with work and life. This one is inspired by Rick Rubin’s work, his book The Creative Act, and by what musicians who’ve worked with him say, as well as thoughts on similar subjects by Georgia O’Keefe, Somerset Maugham, Frederick Franck (Zen Seeing, Zen Drawing), and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, highlights the importance of seeing and listening versus looking and hearing.
