The Animated Intro to Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions

Filmmaker Gianluigi Toccafondo combines photography, painting and digitally modified images to create abstract wonderlands of art. I find many of his creations to be profound and inspiring. In particular the intro he did for Scott Free Productions, the film and production vehicle for Ridley Scott, shown above. I love the semi-abstract images, how they morph one into another.

In the Scott Free Productions sequence, a man, perhaps hunted, perhaps haunted, perhaps both, gains freedom by morphing into a bird, a raptor, and flying away.

Another of my favorites, Dreamland, is quite a bit longer. Many of the images are equally inspiring. I watch it full screen with the sound turned off. Here are some stills from the film:
